SAMARTHYA

'SAMARTHYA is SAMUHA’s Disability Resource Group.

Samarthya means ‘potential’ in Sanskrit. Samarthya works to reduce the incidence of disabilities, and in ensuring that people with disabilities achieve their maximum potential and lead their lives independently and meaningfully.

Samarthya aims to improve the lives of people with disability to lead a life of dignity and independence . Samarthya has reached to 6825 people with disability through various programmes like Therapeutic Services, Education and Awareness, Vocational Training and Capacity Building, and Networking with Disability Organizations.

Samarthya is working towards enabling and enriching the disabled and include them in the mainstream society.

Presently Samarthya’s activities are spread across Raichur and Koppal Districts.

Samarthya has now initiated the process to become an independent organization.

Two of Samarthya’s centres in Koppal and Deodurga are now facing hardship. If these centers close, People With Disability in the North Karnataka region will have nowhere to go. It is imperative for these centres to continue functioning.
We have therefore opened  a crowd funding campaign. We appeal for your support in helping SAMRTHYA to continue to do its good work with People With Disability.

Please visit our  crowd funding campaign page HERE (  https://www.ketto.org/fundraiser/samarthyacbr) and contribute generously .  We request all of you to help.
